Night Driving – Not Permitted

Night driving is not permitted with our rental vehicles. Driving at dawn or dusk is also strongly discouraged.

Outside towns, many roads are unlit. Wildlife can cross the road at any time, while potholes, sand and loose stones are much harder to see in the dark. Dust from vehicles ahead can reduce visibility even further.

Plan your daily stages so you always reach your destination before sunset. Start early and allow enough time for breaks, fuel stops and unexpected delays.

Especially on gravel roads and in remote areas, never rush to reach your destination before dark. If necessary, shorten your driving stage or plan an overnight stop.

Plan ahead, drive in daylight and arrive before sunset.
