The Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2.8L with AHA-Camper is the ideal choice for two people who don’t want to compromise on comfort during their self-drive tour through Southern Africa. With four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, and durable tyres, it is perfectly suited for all types of roads – from asphalt to challenging off-road terrain.
The easy-to-open AHA-Camper features a comfortable double bed (1.4 × 2.1 m), a 110-litre water tank with integrated plumbing, and generous storage space. The side kitchen is equipped with a fold-out table, double gas stove, and cutlery organiser. A gas geyser, two gas bottles, and additional space for groceries ensure full independence on the road.
Comfort is further enhanced by an indoor shower, an interior basin with tap, and a fridge slider system. Power is supplied by a 105Ah battery with a 160-watt solar panel, 600-watt inverter, and 220-volt charger – perfect for comfortable off-grid camping.

Insurance & Deductible
The accident and liability insurance covers damage as well as the loss of the vehicle and damage to property of third parties, however goods and persons in the vehicles are not insured. A deductible is due in the event of damage. Costs for towing service, sandstorm and water damage as well as damage to the vehicle underbody are not covered.
Super excess cover (SEC 1 & 2) with protection against glass and tire damage:
Deductibles and liability can be reduced for an additional daily fee. In addition, windscreen, tire and third-party damage are covered. The vehicle renter / driver only has to participate in damage caused by himself / herself. This insurance option can only be used for six or more rental days.
This insurance can only be used if the rental period is at least 6 or more days.
In the case of damage that can be traced back to negligence, there is no insurance coverage and the respective vehicle renter / driver must pay the full amount of the damage.
